KIMONO-LOVERS - 4th CONTEST - DEADLINE EXTENSION

Wed May 20, 2009, 11:25 AM
Hello again everyone, I'm back from Spain!

Anyways, I'm happy to see that we have 2 entries for the Hanami contest, but I would like to get a few more before we start voting. I like to have at least three entries for every contest. Also, I'll be incredibly busy with Anime North stuff this week, so I've decided it would be a good idea to extend the contest deadline.

So... the new dates for the contest are as follows:
May 27th, 2009 - All contest entries are due!
May 28th, 2009 - Contest voting will begin
June 18th, 2009 - Contest winners will be announced and prizes will be given out.

And just a reminder, please make sure you title your notes "CONTEST ENTRY" when you send your submissions for the contest.

--------------Contest Info---------------

Hey everyone! It's time for another Kimono-Lovers contest! This time the theme is Hanami. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, hanami is cherry blossom viewing. So, for this contest you are required to either design a kimono, or create some kimono related artwork (photos, crafts, textiles, digital or traditional art etc...) somehow involving cherry blossoms or cherry blossom viewing.

You're welcome to use the kimono design templates in the club gallery if you wish, or you can create your own. You can also simply draw your kimono design on a model - say your favourite anime character? Both traditional and non-traditional kimono designs will be accepted. Once you've created your contest entry, please send it to the club in a note with the subject heading "CONTEST ENTRY"

IF FOR ANY REASON YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY RECIEVED YOUR PRIZE FROM OUR PREVIOUS CONTEST, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

As always, I could really use some prize donations from club members. Please note the club with the subject heading "CONTEST PRIZE DONATIONS" if you have anything you'd be willing to contribute.

1st Place:

-30 additional points in our ranking system
-Piece will become the club's featured deviation until the end of our next contest
